Putting my trust in Jesus, the best Shepherd that has ever lived and will ever live, brings me great comfort. Whenever I lose focus, He reminds me of my mission to be a light in the darkest areas. Recently, I realized that my attention was divided and God asked me to repent and find focus again. It was a gift to remove distractions and focus on the race ahead of me.
This season has been about pruning and realignment to be in His presence, which is everything to me. Without it, even if I have everything else, I have nothing. He reminds me, “Son, I’ve given you a mission. You are a bulldozer into the darkest areas. Where there is no light, I need you to go turn the light on.”
Romans 15:20 burning in my heart afresh. The Apostle Paul writes to his brothers and sisters in Rome, saying, “It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.” My desire, my one focus, and the outflow of my life must be this.
Some sons and daughters of God do not yet know the Good News. I must run this race, ensuring that I’m not just giving seconds to those who have already heard, but the priority of my life and mission is to make sure that the unreached people groups, and nations can know a God who looks like Jesus; that Christ may be named among them.
It’s time to let the Lord search our hearts so that we may return to the one thing He has called us to. What is your one thing? What is your holy ambition? What is the thing He called you to that no one else can do?
I pray that the Holy Spirit moves upon you inviting you into a time of recalibration so that you may see Jesus receive His full reward.
